We had the most amazing beach out our front door! We got to see the most beautiful sunrises, but we had to be quick or we would miss it, the sun is up in about 5 minutes.
We went to Pearl Harbor and it was such a neat experience. We got our picture taken with this cute little old man. He is one of the last living survivors from the attack on Pearl Harbor. We took the boat out to the Arizona Memorial and it was such a humbling experience to see the oil still coming up from the ship, think of all the men how lost their lives, and pay our respects to them.
We couldn't take pictures of our other adventure, but it was AMAZING! Mark's brother is in the Navy and works on a fast attack submarine. We got to go on a tour of a submarine (not something the Navy allows very often) that is getting ready to deploy in a few months. It was amazing to see the technology that is used in our defense system, and it gave Mark and I such a greater appreciation for what the military does on a daily basis to protect us as citizens of this great nation. What an awesome opportunity!
Our niece Rosy (second from right) was in her school's talent show, so we got to watch her perform. Great job Rosy, we loved your singing! We tried a Korean BBQ place in downtown Honolulu, and let's just say it opened our palets to a whole new array of foods and flavors. A good experience, but probably not one we will try again :)
We went to the Dole Plantation where they grow, harvest, and sell Dole pineapples. It was so fun to see the production of pineapples, along with many other fruits. They also had beautiful gardens to walk through. Our favorite part was probably the cold, tangy, pineapple sorbet we had at the end of our tour. Yum!
We stayed at the Bellows Air Force Station in a cabin/beach house and this was the beach we had right out our front door! It was absolutely beautiful and felt like our own private beach.
What a beautiful place!
Don't worry... there is still more to come!

Hey guys! Your trip looked so fun. Our goal is to get to Hawaii one day. We should probably pay off our $60,000 debt we're racking up first. You two look so happy. If you ever come to Phoenix, let us know.
Looks like you had a blast! The beach is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure you are happy to be back here in Logan at the school! ha ha. :)
