Our Getaway Trip to St. George

Warm weather, flip flops, capris, a good golf game, brisk morning walks.... what a wonderful vacation! Mark and I escaped the cold north last weekend and took an amazing trip to St. George. We were able to stay with our sweet grandparents and we had so much fun! We enjoyed the seafood buffet in Mesquite, some great shopping, nap time, walks, the Madson's, Nielsen's Frozen Custard, Tai Pan Trading, and a great barbecue. We are so grateful for our grandparents. It was such a blast to spend the whole weekend together and enjoy the warm weather.

- He tried topping a strawberry with a knife and cut his finger. He came over and said, "Mom, look I'm tough!" (because he didn't cry at all) :)
- Beck bonked me in the head and it really hurt. I said, "Oh Beck, that hurt." He replied, "Mom, I'm sorry, be tough!"
- The song I hear from Beck in the backseat, "Heavenly Father had a dog ee i ee i o!" Ha ha ha... Looks like we need a little practice!
- During Family Home Evening tonight our lesson was on obedience. Mark asked the question, "What did Nephi do when the Lord asked him to go and get the plates?" Beckam's reponse, "Go and get the forks too?"
- "I am thankful for the true church!"
- "Mom/Dad, I love you!"
- "Leskee is so cute! I love Leskee!"
- "Mom, you're a sweetheart!"

I fondly remember going to St. George with you. Good Times! Good Friends!
Wow! I didn't realize I looked that tired! Who knew the random outtakes of photos would make it on the blog too! It was so much fun to hang with you guys. Make sure you call us if you are ever down again.

I'm so sick of the cold weather ....I am longing for Capris and flip flops. Sounds like so much fun.
how fun, flip flops and capris...what a life. I am so jealous. Next time you will have to bottle up some sunshine and send it my way. So happy to see all the fun little outing you and Mark go on. I think you were made for each other.

Ah! How fun! Oh so jealous! I have been wearing my flip flops any chance I get! Just hoping for about 40 more degrees!
